Parisian Colors
A small-ensemble concert featuring piano, strings, and flute
Be transported to turn-of-the-century Paris in a program that reveals the lyricism, clarity, and artistry of French chamber music. Debussy, Ravel, Poulenc, and Saint-Saëns each offer a distinct musical palette—from the intimacy of Syrinx to the shimmering motion of Une barque sur l’océan, the charm of Poulenc’s sonata, and the dramatic sweep of Saint-Saëns’ trio. Chee-Yun, Karissa Shivone, Benjamin Hochman, and featured flautist Jennifer Steele brings these works to life with nuance, color, and expressive warmth.
