BUGS is an interactive multimedia performance by acclaimed guitarist and composer Kaki King, designed to captivate young audiences and the young at heart. The show combines King’s signature guitar projection mapping and drum-triggered effects to weave a delightful narrative centered around bugs, beetles, critters, and all things sugary.

Audiences are invited to engage actively—shouting out their favorite bugs, dancing along with animated insect characters projected onto the guitar, and immersing themselves in a playful exploration of nature’s tiny creatures. The visual experience, crafted in collaboration with multimedia theater company GLITCH, features projections of insects, melting ice cream, bouncing toys, and more, creating a whimsical atmosphere. Musically, King blends live guitar performances with sound samples and field recordings from nature, all triggered in real time, offering a rich auditory journey.

BUGS is a celebration of curiosity and discovery, encouraging audiences to connect with the natural world through a fusion of music, technology, and interactive storytelling. Whether you’re a child or simply young at heart, this show promises a unique and enchanting experience.
